My name is Joe Proulx, and my wife, Meaghan, and I own and operate Elite Backyard Rinks.
I started my hockey career on wobbly ankles at the age of three, grew up through the Manchester Flames system, played my high school hockey at Manchester West, and finished my competitive career at Stonehill College.
When my oldest son was two, I built my first backyard rink. I was immediately hooked on the instant accessibility to free ice, the joy of skating under the open skies, and the new winter memories we were making, and have built a rink each year since. In 2011, we launched Elite Backyard Rinks to bring the wonder of outdoor skating to families throughout southern New Hampshire.
We live in Bedford NH with our three children.
